"Greed." A hoarse voice calls. "Greed is the root of corruption. Corruption is the foundation of evil. Our society today is built on greed. A forest has a few homes built in it. A few homes become a village, a village becomes a town, a town becomes a city, a city becomes a megalopolis. What once was a naturally growing ecosystem is now a steel structured parasite that saps the previously balanced land. Withing those walls a new society forms from the greed of their predecessors, people like pawns in a game of chess are controlled by the kings and queens around them. Here, if you have money, you have status, and if you don't, you are nobody."
The silhouette of a man can be seen on the top of a tall building in a city, overlooking it.
"Workers, business men and women, police, mayors, councils, senates, governors..." The man continues. "It works for awhile, however, greed mutates to corruption in every story."
The light of the rising sun kisses the man's hair, it is a dirty brown with streaks of red in it. It is messy, as if he doesn't care for it.
"Thought I cannot do anything about the progress of the human society," He continues further. "I can improve it by abolishing the corruption before it turns to evil."
The sun touches the mans face as it peaks over the horizon. His eyes are yellow, with the touch of red around the edges.
"My eyes let me see the truth." He adds. "I can see into people and learn who they really are, what they have really done. I can see which politician is truthful, and which one just wants the fame."
Now, with the sun covering his head, it can be seen that he is wearing a black cloth, tied around his face to mask his identity.
"My name is Perago Salvatore, and with this gift, I have set out to liberate the souls of this society from the corrupted clutches of greed."
