Literature Text

Travis continues his light speed flight into space, headed for the Andromeda Galaxy, to a planet he used to call home.
Satyrus, known to the galaxy as the Land of the Satyrs, is a planet which Travis himself first landed on, many, many years ago.
It is a restricted planet, only a few humans are allowed to live there, and must live under very strict laws and regulations that do not allow outside technology to exist there. The planet is in its 1300s if compared to the advancements in technology found on Earth, right around the advent of the flint lock pistol.
The major portion of the planet is divided up by kingdoms, the largest of which is the Amakura Kingdom, and happens to be the very one Travis is headed for.
The King of the Amakura Kingdom is Lord Sazuke, and directly bellow him is his knight, Valens Fortis.
The most noble and loyal of knights, Valens commands an army of five hundred men, all of which are the strongest of all knights in the land. Sir Fortis is known as the Sorcerer Knight, due to his mastery of magic and combat.
It is this King and this Knight in which Travis seeks. They owe him a great debt, and he is looking to cash in on it.
In the Amakura Castle sits Sir Valens, in a chair made for him in the throne room, amongst his king, Lord Sazuke.
Valens, suited in blue and gold armor, wears all but his helmet and gauntlets. He has a stack of books by his side, and he is going through them, making sure they contain no information that would be bad for the community.
This is not Valens job; however, he took it up as a curiosity, due to the crime rate in the kingdom being so low. Ever since the Battle in the Sky took place, thieves, criminals, pirates and general no gooders vanished.
It should be noted that the Battle in the Sky was when the Rebel Space Alliance invaded Satyrus. They flew their ships into the atmosphere to attack the civilians, however, where stopped by Travis and solely Travis.
This is the debt they owe, one that cannot be paid off.
Something catches Valens’s attention, and he jumps to his feet.
“What is it?” King Sazuke asks from his throne.
“Something is coming.” Valens says.
He steps a few feet forward to get a better mental grasp on what he senses. The book in his right hand falls to the floor.
“My king, it is time.” Valens says, quickly turning to Sazuke.
The king looks in curiosity to his knight.
“You are giving birth?” He says in a lighthearted way.
Valens does not laugh, and keeps his solid expression.
“Raspberries.” Sir Valens simply says.
Lord Sazuke jumps from his throne, shocked at the code he has received.
The term “Raspberries” is a code used by the New Generation Military. It is the ultimate code, and can only be given by a superior officer. It is the code for war, and in this case, it means that the time has come in which peace ends, and all men will be called on hand.
Valens could sense Travis’s rapid approach, and he could tell that the Ambassador’s velocity could mean only one thing.
The call was given, and now the Knights of Amakura are being called.
“Noble Valens, are you absolutely sure?” King Sazuke asks.
“Yes, milord, I am certain.” Valens responds.
“Sound the alarm, Valens.” Sazuke orders, and then turns to a servant. “You there, fetch my armor and postpone any previous orders.”
Sir Fortis hastily heads to a door on the wall behind the throne’s plateau. It is the ropes for the castle’s bell, which alerts all in the land that peace is broken, and all soldiers to report to the throne room, which is vast enough to hold all five hundred men.
Valens returns to the audience of his king to report.
“My honorable king, the men will not make it, Travis Awesome is approaching at a greater speed than we can gather.” Valens tells his king, bowing.
“So be it, how much longer.” Sazuke asks.
Valens looks up at his king in surprise.
“Now” the Sorcerer Knight says softly.
With a flash of light and a clap of thunder, the god-like ambassador appears before the king and Valens, just as he did for Charlie.
Travis glows bright with light, before cooling and fading into a human form.
Once again, the Ambassador of Awesome’s expression is that of an infinitely angered man, and he is before his comrades to bring them orders, whether they want them or not.
The knight and the king stood silently, waiting for the ambassador to speak.
After a long silence, he finds his words.
“Lord Sazuke, Sir Valens Fortis, I unfortunately bring you news that will alter your course of peace, and with it I bear sorrow for this interruption.” Travis speaks.
“Peace is a luxury we have you to thank for, noble Ambassador, and any news you bring us we will willingly accept.” Valens tells him.
“Thank you, Valens.” Travis says, hiding his anger well.
Travis steps forward to the king.
“I bring you the news that an enemy has committed two acts of crime against me.” Travis explains. “This evil entity has stolen from me something that I hold dearer to my heart than life itself.”
Valens turns to look at Travis.
“What have they stolen?” Valens asks curiously, he wishes Travis would get on with the point.
“They have kidnapped Kidate.” Travis finally releases.
“What?” Valens says, turning his full attention to Travis.
Sir Valens was confused at what he has been told, for he was under the eternal presumption that Travis was the ultimate protector, and that nothing could get in his way.
“Kidnapped?” The king asks, confused.
“How did they get passed you, an Ambassador?” Valens asks.
Intrigued even further, Valens desires to know what weakness this new enemy has found.
Travis paces back down to the spot he came from.
“I fell asleep.” Travis says.
Travis blames himself for Kidate’s kidnap. He feels like he should have been more alert, even after settling into their nice Earthly home.
“We will find her, Travis. As king of Amakura, I promise you that.” Lord Sazuke tells him.
“What are your orders for us?” Valens says, his only other loyalty belonging to Travis.
Travis looks at the men with unsure eyes.
“I need you search all of Satyrus, but don’t stop there. Continue your word, through space, use all your power to reach into the skies and inform everyone and anyone you know. I want anyone I can to help me find Kidate.” Travis tells them.
He started to flow energy around him body, getting ready to continue his light speed travel through space.
“If at the very least, I want the universe to tremble in fear with the knowledge that the Ambassador of Awesome is tearing the fabric of space apart for his lover.” Travis says as he begins to turn to light.
“We will not fail you, Ambassador of Awesome.” Valens Fortis says to his comrade.
With that, Travis stretches out in his form of light and vanishes in another clap of thunder into the sky, reaching light speed as fast as he can.
Here is the third chapter of my epic, The Rescue of Kidate Awesome (the short version).
